Our Story
Valley Center Nursery was created in 1994 by Robert & Janet Hancock. The first local, one-stop-shop retail nursery to serve the Valley Center community and San Diego County. We first opened our gates off Lilac Road, giving the nursery the name; Lilac Gardens. The nursery coincided with Robert's Landscape & Maintenance. A successful landscape and maintenance company for over 40 years. In 1997, Lilac Gardens moved to a larger location off Valley Center Road. The beginning of a 25+ year stride and today's; Valley Center Nursery. Specializing in perennials, annuals, vegetable & herb starts, fruit trees, trees & shrubs, statuary, garden decor and so much more!
Valley Center Nursery has since been relocated to 29115 Valley Center Road. We're you can find us there 6 days a week, proudly serving our community.
